An Analysis of the Effects of Public Investment on Labor Demand through the Channel of Economic Growth with a Focus on Socio-Professional Categories and Gender

The paper aims to analyze the impact of public investments generated by implementing Emerging Senegal Plan (ESP) on economic growth and gender inequalities observed in labor market Senegal. A dynamic computable general equilibrium modeling was carried out for this purpose using a social accounting matrix (SAM) based an extensive segmentation according socio-professional category. results prove that made priority sectors led, overall, good trajectory growth. Moreover, job creation followed expansion economy, which increased their demand because capital increase. In conclusion, there is strong qualified women (senior executives middle executives). We recommend considering positive discrimination favor employment programs importance recovery affected pandemic.
